OLYMPIC champion Wang Meng, who is serving a suspension for indiscipline, has been ruled out of China's squad for the upcoming ISU short-track speed skating World Cup series in Nagoya and Shanghai. In August, Wang was expelled from the national team and banned from national and international competition for punching coach Wang Chunlu during a drunken row after she returned late to a training camp following a night out. Meanwhile, Olympic champion Zhou Yang finished a disappointing 19th in the 1,500-meter race at the national short-track speed skating championships in Changchun.
