Waratahs top Force

THE New South Wales Waratahs kept their semifinal hopes alive in rugby's Super 15 with a 20-15 win over the Western Force yesterday. The Waratahs remained in second place in the Australian conference, nine points behind Queensland.

But they have the fifth-best record overall in the competition, with the division winners advancing to the semifinals along with the teams with the next three best records. Ryan Cross and hooker John Ulugia scored the New South Wales tries and Kurtley Beale had two conversions and two penalties for the winners, who trailed 6-9 at halftime.
