Windies triumph

WEST Indies crushed New Zealand by 56 runs in the first of two Twenty20 cricket internationals in the United States, on Saturday with Kieron Pollard and Chris Gayle hitting impressive half-centuries. West Indies made 209 for two off their 20 overs with Gayle unbeaten on 85 and Pollard making 63 not out in a partnership of 108 in Lauderhill, Florida. New Zealand was then bowled out for 153 in the 19th over with opener Rob Nicol top-scoring with 32.
