Yacht finishes race

A RESTORED 30-foot yacht originally built in 1932 has crossed the line in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race, becoming officially the last of 76 finishers of the original 88-boat fleet that left Sydney Harbour on Monday. Maluka of Kermandie, skippered by Sean Langman, crossed the finish line on the Derwent River at 4.48pm (0548 GMT) yesterday. Its elapsed time was five days, three hours, 48 minutes and 22 seconds - nearly three days behind the winner. On Wednesday, 100-foot Investec Loyal finished in 2 days, 6 hours, 14 minutes, 18 seconds.
