‘Big Ben,’ Steelers ink deal
QUARTERBACK Ben Roethlisberger signed a new five-year contract on Friday with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he has spent his entire National Football League career. “It’s home. It’s family,” said the 33-year-old, who has played 11 seasons in Pittsburgh. “Big Ben” has led the Steelers to two Super Bowl titles. Financial terms of the contract, signed as Roethlisberger was heading into the final year of an eight-year US$102 million contract he signed in 2008, were not revealed by the team.
