Brees agrees extension

VETERAN quarterback Drew Brees, the National Football League’s No. 1 passer last season, said on Wednesday he has agreed to a contract extension with the New Orleans Saints.
Brees, 37, did not give details but US media reported he would be guaranteed to receive US$44.2 million over the next two years. The extension also includes a no-trade clause and would be spread out over five years. Brees is in the final year of a five-year US$100 million contract he signed in 2012.
