Coughlin deal

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin has agreed a one-year contract extension that will keep him with the National Football League club through the 2015 season, he said on Friday. Coughlin has gone 90-70 in a 10-year tenure with the Giants that includes Super Bowl victories over the New England Patriots in 2008 and 2012. The Giants finished 7-9 this past season, their first losing campaign under Coughlin. New York lost the first six games of the season before winning seven of the last 10.
