Peterson signs for Saints

FORMER Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson could launch the next phase of his National Football League career against his old team after signing for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday. The 32-year-old running back has ended weeks of speculation about his future after agreeing terms with the Saints on a two-year deal worth US$7 million. That means Peterson is poised to face the Vikings in his first game during the opening round of the 2017 NFL season, with the Saints visiting Minnesota on September 11.
