Rams land defender Fowler

Dante Fowler, with 14 quarterback sacks in 2 1/2 seasons with Jacksonville, was sent to the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams for draft picks just before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. The move gives the Rams the pass rusher coach Sean McVay said he wanted to join a defense that already ranks eighth in the league with 22 sacks in an 8-0 start. The Rams sent the Jaguars lower round draft picks in 2019 and 2020 in exchange for defensive end Fowler.
