Randle gets to play

RUNNING back Joseph Randle won’t be suspended by the Dallas Cowboys after his arrest on a shoplifting charge.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said on Wednesday the Randle would be fined “significantly” but would play against the New York Giants in their National Football League game on Sunday. Randle was charged with a Class B misdemeanor of theft between US$50 and US$500 after he was accused of taking cologne and underwear from a department store at a Dallas mall on Monday. The arrest came a day after one of Randle’s best games in two seasons with Dallas in a 30-23 victory against Super Bowl champion Seattle.
