Doping warning
The World Athletics Championships will feature the “most comprehensive anti-doping program in the history of the 30-year-old event,” according to track and field’s governing body. It will involve “large-scale pre-competition blood tests implemented for an athlete’s biological passport.” “This was first carried out at the 2011 world championships in Daegu a few days before the event. This will be done at the athletes’ hotels in Moscow,” the IAAF said.
