International Elite 10K race

THE 2018 Shanghai International Elite 10K Race was held in Putuo District yesterday morning, featuring 7,000 runners. A total of 6,400 participants competed in the 10-kilometer main race, while the other 600 took part in the 2K family run. The route covered the ecological zone on the north side of the Suzhou Creek in Putuo. Sisay Fekadu Berhanu of Ethiopia won the men’s 10K clocking 30 minutes and 26 seconds, while the women’s crown went to China’s Li Zhixuan, won in a time of 33:29. The top men and women finishers are granted quotas for next year’s Shanghai International Half Marathon. A musical party and massage services were held at the finish line of the 10K race, which was set at East China Normal University.
