LaCaze relief
STEEPLECHASER Genevieve LaCaze is set to compete at next month's London Games after Athletics Australia agreed yesterday to extend its Olympic selection cutoff date. LaCaze missed AA's June 11 qualification deadline by a day when she bettered the selection qualifying standard in Indianapolis. But she looked set to be denied a place on the Australian team after AA said on Friday it would be unfair to bend the rules to include her. However AA officials said the selection deadline would now be extended until June 22.
