Park eyes 100 free
SOUTH Korea's Olympic 400-meter freestyle champion Park Tae-hwan will take the plunge in the 100 free at next month's world championships in Shanghai, his management said yesterday. The 21-year-old, also a silver medalist in the 200 at the 2008 Beijing Games, will be dipping his toes in the 100 at a world championships or Olympics for the first time. Park, who did an Asian Games 100-200-400 treble in Guangzhou last November, will swim all three distances at the July 16-31 event.
