Pudong women’s marathon

THE 2015 Shanghai Pudong International Women’s Half Marathon will be held on November 21, featuring a 21-kilometer half marathon and an eight-mile run. Only women runners are allowed for the races, both starting from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower at 7am and finishing at Oriental Sports Center. The half marathon has a quota of 3,000, while it is 5,000 for the eight-mile run. Runners can log on to the event’s official site www.yaopao.net to register. The entry fee ranges from 100 yuan (US$15.75) to 160 yuan. The half marathon is the latest event introduced by Starz Sports, a sports management company owned by retired NBA star Yao Ming. The company said that it will introduce Hood To Coast, a world popular team relay event, to China next year.
