Robles ruled out
OLYMPIC 110 meters hurdles champion Dayron Robles of Cuba will miss the rest of the indoor season after aggravating a thigh injury during a race in France. The 22-year-old world record holder will return to Havana for treatment with the aim of being ready for the world championships in Berlin in August, officials said. The bespectacled athlete hurt his left thigh while running the 60-meters hurdles in Lievin on Tuesday. He had earlier canceled appearances in two meets due to the leg problem. Robles' physician, Richard Perez, said the hurdler had tendinitis in a thigh muscle, but the injury was not considered career-threatening.
