Run For Fun in Pudong

THE 2018 Vanke Run For Fun was held in Pudong New Area yesterday, featuring nearly 10,000 runners from 188 enterprises in Shanghai. Coming into its sixth year, the untimed running event aims at promoting a healthy lifestyle among local residents.
Participants at this year’s event started their 5.2-kilometer journey from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The finish line was set near Yangpu Bridge.
Former Shanghai football player Sun Ji, Shanghai Women’s Football Club head coach Shui Qingxia and her players Zhao Lina and Li Jiayue also took part in the event. Vanke Run For Fun has held more than 300 races in over 60 cities around the country since its launch in 2013. The Shanghai race also served as part of the 2018 Shanghai Amateurs League.
