THE 2016 Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Shanghai race was held at the Lujiazui Financial Zone in Pudong New Area on Thursday.
Coming into its second year, the clocked charity team race featured local companies represented by a 10-member team. Each team member had to complete the one-mile (1.6km) route before passing the baton on to the next runner. Seventy-four teams took part in the event. Team Nanhua Futures won the race in 1 hour, 1 minute and 52 seconds. It was given the right to name a charity organization to which the race organizers will donate 50,000 yuan (US$7,497). Team Webpower and Team Orient Securities finished second and third. The race will next visit Singapore and China’s Hong Kong.
