Top athletes coming to Shanghai race
THE 2011 Dunlop Golden Grand Prix got further boost when some more top athletes confirmed their participation for next month's event in Shanghai.
The local organizing committee announced yesterday that Jamaican stars Asafa Powell and Veronica Campbell-Brown, Finnish javelin thrower and former world champion Tero Pitkamaki, three-time world long jump champion Dwight Phillips, and US sprint sensation Carmelita Jeter will compete at the Shanghai Stadium on May 15. Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang and the American champion David Oliver had already agreed to compete in the men's 110m earlier.
