Yangpu 8K race

The 2015 Yangpu XinJiangWan 8K Race will be held on October 25, featuring thousands of runners in two categories — the 8-kilometer main race and a 2-kilometer Happiness Run, organizers announced yesterday.
In its second year, the community running activity is aimed at white-collar workers and expatriates in and around Shanghai. The 8K race route covers landmarks in Yangpu District like the Jiangwan campus of Fudan University, Xinjiangwan City Cultural Center and the world-class extreme sports skateboarding SMP Park. Registration can be completed at the event’s official website www.yangpu8k.com.cn with an entry fee of 100 yuan (US$15.7) for each runner. Both competitions will kick off at 8:30am on October 25, on Zhenghe Road. Last year’s event attracted 2,400 runners. The organizers have set a quota of 1,500 for the 8K race and another 2,000 for the 2K Happiness Run this year.
