Two-time Grand Slam tennis champion Li Na was named the winner of the Laureus exceptional award on Wednesday.
The retired tennis star is also in the running for the world sportswoman of the year award.
Ethiopian runner Genzebe Dibaba, who broke three world records in three different events in two weeks, won the Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year Award.
