ASIAN badminton champion Bao Chunlai and defending champion Wang Yihan won the men's and women's titles, respectively, at the Japan Open in Tokyo yesterday.
Unseeded Bao crushed Athens Olympic gold medalist Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia 21-15, 21-12 in the men's final after Wang Yihan had eased past Chinese teammate Wang Xin 21-8, 21-9 for the women's crown.?Wang Yihan, 21, claimed her fifth championship of the season, after the All England, German Open, Swiss Open and Macau Open titles.
