Top stars for China Open
The 2013 China Open will be held at Yuanshen Sports Center next month, featuring top shuttlers from around the world, including world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia.
World No. 2 Chen Long as well as women's world champion Wang Yihan and Olympic champion Li Xuerui lead the Chinese squad.
It's the sixth and last year for the BWF World Superseries Premier event to be staged in Shanghai, which will head to Guangzhou from next year.
According to national team head coach Li Yongbo, Chen as well as world No. 3 Du Pengyu have maintained superb form which was in evidence at the Denmark Open last week, where Chen overcame Lee to win the men's singles title.
Playing in front of her home crowd, Shanghai-born Wang, the world No. 3, has set her sights on the women's crown but faces a tough challenge from compatriot and defending champion Li. Wang beat South Korea's top player Sung Ji-hyun to win the singles title in Denmark last week.
Ticket prices for the November 12-17 tournament in Pudong New Area range from 60 yuan (US$9.86) to 980 yuan, organizers said.
