The Rays, winners of five in a row, led 3-1 in the sixth following homers by Carlos Pena and Evan Longoria but Oakland (60-60) hit back in the bottom of the inning, shortstop Cliff Pennington hitting a go-ahead two RBI double.

Elsewhere in the AL, it was: Yankees 11, Tigers 5; White Sox 11. Twins 0; Angels 7, Red Sox 2; Orioles 4, Rangers 0; and Indians 7, Royals 3.
