HK female baseball player hit by stray bullet in Venezuela
THE women's baseball world championships in Venezuela were forced to be suspended yesterday as a Hong Kong player was hit in the leg by a stray bullet during the match.
The incident occurred while the Hong Kong team was playing the Netherlands in a stadium at the Fort Tiuna military base in Caracas. It wasn't clear from where the bullet was fired.
Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jaua said the injury was not serious and the games in Caracas were suspended while the police investigate what happened.
