Pirates-Brewers game marred by brawl

A VERBAL exchange between Pittsburgh pitcher Gerrit Cole and Milwaukee outfielder Carlos Gomez sparked a brawl that saw Gomez tossed from their MLB game on Sunday.
The fracas occurred after Gomez had tripled off of Cole with a drive to center field that hit the wall. After Gomez slid into third, Cole, who had moved to back up the play at the base, appeared to say something.
Gomez took off his helmet and moved toward the Pirates hurler and players poured off both benches.
