64 street basketball teams vie for Skullcandy Cup

This year's street basketball season ended in Shanghai on Sunday with Team Yuanfang winning the championship in the three-day competition involving 64 teams, the organizer said yesterday.
The Skullcandy Cup Music Basketball Season attracted more than 1,000 basketball players and amateurs in games held in Pudong and Zhabei districts. It is part of the First Shanghai Citizens' Games to promote fitness exercise.
Inspired by Tru Sauce, a Shanghai player whose real name is Wang Sixu, local street basketball players have developed their own styles in recent years rather than intimating foreign players, the organizer said.
Some of the moves invented by Team X-Battle and Wang Xixi, one of the city's best players, were even intimated by their foreign peers.
