Bryant leads Lakers past Trail Blazers 84-80
KOBE Bryant scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter as the host Los Angeles Lakers rallied to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 84-80 in the NBA yesterday for their 12th win in 13 games.
Derek Fisher made back-to-back steals to put the Lakers ahead in the final three minutes before hitting a clinching jumper with 10 seconds left.
The Lakers played without starting center Andrew Bynum, who was suspended for two games yesterday for his flagrant foul on Minnesota's Michael Beasley two days earlier.
Nicolas Batum scored 22 of his 25 points in the first three quarters for the Blazers, whose three-game winning streak was stopped. Portland scored just 14 points in the fourth quarter on 5-for-18 shooting.
Rockets 110, Jazz 108
In Houston, Kyle Lowry had 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for Houston's first triple-double of the season as the Rockets beat Utah.
With the win, Houston moved past Utah into ninth place in the Western Conference standings and is now within 1? games of idle Memphis in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot.
Lowry got his first career triple-double and set a career high in rebounds, and Kevin Martin scored 34 points for the Rockets.
Paul Millsap, back after missing five games with left knee tendinitis, scored 35 points for the Jazz, who have dropped seven of their last nine road games. Al Jefferson added 17 points and 19 rebounds.
Raptors 95, Thunder 93
In Oklahoma City, Amir Johnson made a layup with 1.4 seconds remaining to help Toronto stop a 14-game road losing streak.
Andrea Bargnani scored 23 points for the Raptors, who earned their first road win since Jan. 5 at Cleveland.
Oklahoma City, which entered the game with a six-game winning streak, overcame a 10-point deficit at the end of the third to take a 93-90 lead with 1:31 left.
But Leandro Barbosa made a tying 3-pointer with 38.5 seconds left before Johnson won the game with his layup.
James Harden scored 23 points for the Thunder.
Bucks 100, Knicks 95
In Milwaukee, Carlos Delfino scored a career-high 30 points and Brandon Jennings finished an assist short of a triple-double as Milwaukee defeated New York.
Jennings had 14 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, and the Bucks built a 23-point first-quarter lead only to watch it evaporate by the fourth quarter.
Milwaukee is tied with Charlotte for ninth place in the Eastern Conference, 1? games behind Indiana for the final spot in the playoffs.
Carmelo Anthony had 23 points for the struggling Knicks, who have lost five of their last six. The Knicks are just 7-8 since acquiring Anthony in a trade last month.
Suns 108, Clippers 99
In Los Angeles, Steve Nash had 23 points, 13 assists and seven rebounds as Phoenix topped the Los Angeles Clippers.
Channing Frye added 19 points in his second game back after dislocating his right shoulder, including two 3-pointers in the final minutes.
Blake Griffin scored 17 points for the Clippers, who have lost three of four. Chris Kaman had 21 points and 11 rebounds while starting for DeAndre Jordan, who sat out with pneumonia.
Mavericks 101, Warriors 73
In Dallas, Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points and Peja Stojakovic added 17 to lead Dallas over Golden State.
Stojakovic returned from a six-game absence due to a stiff neck and went 5 for 8 from 3-point range.
Rodrigue Beaubois had 15 points and Tyson Chandler grabbed 17 rebounds for the Mavericks, who had lost four of six.
Monta Ellis had 18 points for the Warriors, who have lost four straight.
Hawks 104, Pistons 96
At Atlanta, Al Horford scored 18 points and Josh Smith and Joe Johnson each added 17 as Atlanta stopped a two-game slide.
Smith made a left-handed runner over Austin Daye with 52.1 seconds left, beating the shot-clock buzzer and giving the Hawks a 100-95 lead.
Rodney Stuckey led the Pistons with 22 points, but missed two jump shots in the final 1:14 as Detroit fell short.
Chris Wilcox added 18 and Greg Monroe scored 17 for Detroit, which has lost seven straight on the road.
Kings 127, Timberwolves 95
In Minneapolis, Samuel Dalembert had 26 points and 17 rebounds and Marcus Thornton added 23 points to lead Sacramento.
Sacramento rookie DeMarcus Cousins was ejected in the third quarter after shoving Martell Webster, but the Kings went on a 21-0 run without him.
The Kings picked up their 17th win of the season, equaling the Wolves with the fewest in the West.
Luke Ridnour scored 22 points for the Wolves, who played most of the game without star Kevin Love. He left in the second quarter with an injured left groin and finished with three rebounds and no points.

In Washington, John Wall scored 26 points and Washington overcame a 17-point deficit to get the win.
After New Jersey's Kris Humphries scored five straight points to even the score at 90 with 1:44 left, Wall hit a jumper with 1:22 left and another with 46.5 remaining to give the Wizards a 94-90 lead.
Jordan Crawford added 21 points for the Wizards, who ended a six-game losing streak.
Brook Lopez had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Nets, who have lost three straight. Humphries had 18 points and 17 rebounds.
