Celtics dominate the Lakers underneath to even series

RESERVE forward Glen Davis helped the Boston Celtics reclaim their inside presence and defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 96-89 yesterday to level the best-of-seven NBA Finals at 2-2.

The burly Davis, nicknamed "Big Baby", scored 18 points on seven of 10 shooting from the floor to spark the Celtics' resurgent game under the basket.

Kobe Bryant scored 33 points and Pau Gasol added 21 to lead the defending champion Lakers, who were outrebounded 41-34 and outscored in the paint 54-34.

Game Five will be Sunday in Boston before the series shifts to Los Angeles for Game Six and, if necessary, Game Seven.
