China drubs Korea to regain Asian title

CHINA powered past defending champion South Korea 91-71 to win gold for the 10th time in the women's Asian basketball championship in Chennai, India, yesterday.
China, which finished fourth in the Olympics at home last year, was led to victory by Chen Nan who top scored with 17 points and nine rebounds. Ma Zengyu scored 16 points. Japan overcame Chinese Taipei 72-57 in the match for the bronze medal. The top three teams qualified for the world championship to be held in the Czech Republic in September-October next year.
