Chinese guard Sun signs for Knicks
CHINESE guard Sun Yue has signed for the New York Knicks, the NBA team said on Thursday.
The 23-year-old was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers on July 31 and joins the Knicks as a free agent. The Hebei native, a member of China's team at the 2008 Olympics, was picked by the Lakers in the second round (40th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft and although he did not start in his rookie season the guard featured in 10 games. The Knicks, who announced the deal on their Website, did not give any details of the contractual agreement.
