Hill stands out as Pacers beat Blazer in OT

Indiana’s George Hill had a career-high 37 points, nine rebounds and eight assists as the NBA-leading Pacers edged Portland 118-113 in overtime on Friday.

Portland lost no ground in the Northwest Division despite its defeat as leader Oklahoma City suffered a surprising defeat at lowly Orlando, which clinched a one-point win on the buzzer.

Among the day’s other games, Blake Griffin led the Los Angeles Clippers over Toronto in a clash of division leaders, and Dallas won its fourth-straight game with a comfortable victory over Utah.

Indiana’s David West scored a season-high 30 points and had 10 rebounds for the Pacers, who have won five of their past six games. West’s dunk with 1:37 left in overtime gave Indiana a four-point lead to all but seal the win.

Damian Lillard had 38 points and 11 assists for the Trail Blazers.

Los Angeles’ Blake Griffin scored 19 of his 36 points in the first quarter to set up the Clippers’ 118-105 victory over Toronto.

Jamal Crawford added 21 for the defending Pacific Division champions, who are 12-6 since losing Chris Paul to a shoulder injury a month ago.

DeMar DeRozan had 36 points and eight assists for the Atlantic Division-leading Raptors.

Orlando’s Tobias Harris slammed home a fast-break pass from Maurice Harkless at the buzzer to give the Magic a stunning 103-102 win over Oklahoma City.

The Thunder led by a point in the closing seconds when Kevin Durant missed a jumper to set up the last-second play. Harris’ dunk was reviewed by officials and upheld.

Harris led the Magic with 18 points and Arron Afflalo had 16 as Orlando won its fourth-straight home game.

Dallas’ Monta Ellis scored 22 points as the Mavericks beat Utah 103-81.

All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki had 20 points while playing only 26 minutes for the Mavericks. It is only the second time they have been that far above the break-even mark since their 2010-11 NBA championship season. The Jazz lost their fourth game in a row despite regaining Derrick Favors and Jeremy Evans from injury.

New Orleans celebrated his elevation to the Western Conference All-Star squad by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pelicans past Minnesota 98-91.

Eric Gordon scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half to help New Orleans come from 10 points down in the fourth quarter and snatch victory.

Davis, who was appointed to the All-Star team in place of injured Kobe Bryant earlier in the day, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked his only shot in the final period.

Kevin Love had 26 points and 19 rebounds for Minnesota.

New York’s Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points in three quarters, then watched from the bench as the Knicks ran away from his old team in the fourth quarter and beat Denver 117-90.

Detroit’s Andre Drummond had 15 points and 21 assists as Detroit beat Brooklyn 111-95.

Cleveland broke its six-game skid with a 115-113 win against Washington. Boston went on a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to overwhelm Sacramento and win 99-89.

Los Angeles’ Steve Nash celebrated his 40th birthday by scoring a season-high 19 points to lead the Lakers over Philadelphia 112-98 in a clash of two struggling teams.
