James's triple-double stripped by NBA after review

CLEVELAND forward LeBron James has had his triple-double from Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks stripped after the NBA reviewed the game, the league said on yesterday.

The NBA said a rebound credited to James should have actually been awarded to Ben Wallace, who had tipped the loose ball to James with 39.3 seconds remaining.

James will now be credited with 52 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.

Prior to the ruling, James had been the first player to record a triple-double while scoring 50 points since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar achieved the feat in 1975.
