Little cheer for Curry in Christmas Day loss to Cavs

SHANGHAI’S NBA followers made merry at the 2016 Under Armour Christmas party as its brand’s image ambassador Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors took on Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

The three-day event was held at Plaza 688 on Huaihai Road from December 24 to 26, during which fans and customers were invited to take part in three-point shots and other competitive events.

A big screen was set up at the plaza where fans watched the NBA Finals rematch in which Curry scored 15 points from 4 out of 11 attempts. His three-pointer with 1:14 left on the clock put the Warriors ahead 108-105. However, Kyrie Irving's turnaround jumper over Klay Thompson with 3.4 seconds left allowed the Cavaliers to edge the Warriors 109-108 to seal the victory.

Three new pairs of UA Curry 3 shoes – Red Hot Santa, Magi and Raw Sugar – were unveiled and exhibited for fans during the three-day event.
