Nuggets knock off the 76ers

COREY Brewer sank three free throws in the final 2.1 seconds to help the Denver Nuggets extend their club-best winning streak to 14 games with a thrilling 101-100 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday in Denver.

Anthony Randolph blocked Damien Wilkins' desperate jump shot at the buzzer to secure Denver's 16th straight win at the Pepsi Center - and its most unlikely.

Brewer finished with 29 points.

Wilkins had 24 points and Jrue Holliday had 18 points and 15 assists for the Sixers.

Brewer scored the Nuggets' last six points, including a 3-pointer with 9.2 seconds left that pulled Denver within 100-98.

Chicago's LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points and Damian Lillard added 24 as the Portland Trail Blazers completed a season sweep of the Bulls with a 99-89 win.

In Sacramento, California, Isaiah Thomas had 24 points and six assists, and Tyreke Evans scored 11 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Kings earned their third straight home win by holding off the Minnesota Timberwolves 101-98.

Nikola Pekovic had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have lost two straight.
