Shanghai Eyes Replacement
THE Shanghai Sharks are planning to replace the injured Ryan Forehan-Kelly with another foreign player, the team said yesterday.
The shooting forward, who will turn 32 this month, ruptured his Achilles tendon during the game against the Shandong Lions on Sunday and flew back to the United States last night for surgery, the Sharks said on its website yesterday. He will miss the rest of the season.
"After Forehan-Kelly's injury was confirmed, we were on the look out for other players," the club said in a press release. "We've had some breakthrough on that front and the new foreign player will join the team soon."
The club however did not give the name of the new foreign player.
