Short-handed Spurs beat Wolves
SAN Antonio shook off the absence of its three long-serving stars plus coach Gregg Popovich and won 116-91 at Minnesota on Tuesday to keep up pressure on NBA pacesetter Golden State.
The Spurs bounced back from a rare loss and won edging back within three games of the Warriors for the best record in the Western Conference.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 29 points to carry the load in the absence of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Popovich had some family issue.
Andrew Wiggins had 23 points and eight rebounds for the Timberwolves.
Elsewhere, it was: Raptors 104, Nets 99; Hawks 91, Jazz 84; Nuggets 110, Knicks 94; Trail Blazers 116, Wizards 109 (in overtime); and Lakers 107, Magic 98.
