Suns ban forward Morris 2 games for bad conduct
Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris was suspended on Thursday for two National Basketball Association games for what the club called conduct detrimental to the team.
The punishment was reportedly imposed for Morris tossing a towel at coach Jeff Hornacek during Wednesday’s 96-104 home loss to Denver. Morris has been unhappy with the Suns since they traded his twin brother Marcus to the Detroit Pistons before the season and dropped him from the starting lineup recently. Morris played only 12 minutes against the Nuggets and when he was removed in the 4th quarter, he hurled a towel at his coach in anger. Morris will miss games against Philadelphia and Cleveland.
