Tabuse returns

FORMER Phoenix Suns guard Yuta Tabuse has snubbed Japan's national side in a bid to return to the NBA. Tabuse had opted to skip next month's East Asian Championships to play in the Dallas Mavericks' summer camp, the Japan Basketball Association said yesterday.

The 1.73-meter point guard became the first Japanese in the NBA, playing for the Suns in the 2004-05 season.
