Xinjiang remains unbeaten, Shenzhen ends loss streak

Last season鈥檚 runners-up Xinjiang Flying Tigers beat Jilin Northeast Tigers 112-107 yesterday to remain unbeaten after five games of the 2019-2020 Chinese Basketball Association season.
Xinjiang overcame a remarkable challenge from Jilin, which took down last season鈥檚 champion Guangdong in the previous round. Jarnell Stokes had 31 points for Xinjiang. Dominique Jones contributed a triple-double with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for Jilin. Star-studded Shenzhen Aviators finally ended their unexpected losing streak after edging Beijing Ducks 109-104. It was the first win of the season for Shenzhen, for whom Shabazz Muhammad scored a game-high 35 points. In other games yesterday, Zhejiang Lions defeated Jiangsu Dragons 87-75; and Fujian Sturgeons smashed visiting Bayi Rockets 129-107.
