CHINESE center Yao Ming missed his second straight game with a sore right knee when he sat out the Houston Rocket's game against the New York Knicks yesterday.
Yao center hoped to return tomorrow against Philadelphia.
"Compared to yesterday I feel much better," he said.
Yao left Friday's game at Indiana and skipped Sunday's win at Detroit.
"He's just sore," coach Rick Adelman said, "and we don't want to push him."
