Yi sprains ankle

CHINESE forward Yi Jianlian sprained his left ankle in the first quarter of the New Jersey Nets' 113-93 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.

Yi was hurt with 2:56 left when he appeared to step on a New York player's foot while running back into defensive rebounding position. Yi had scored three points before he was hurt. Devin Harris tallied 31 points as New Jersey erased an early 16-point deficit to improve the NBA's worst record to 7-55.
