Fury has Klitschko in sights

Tyson Fury has WBA, IBF and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko in his sights after beating Dereck Chisora in their world title eliminator to become the new European and British heavyweight champion on Saturday.
Fury dominated fellow English fighter Chisora, who failed to come out for the 11th round, to hand the 26-year-old his 23rd career victory that could now see him challenge veteran Ukrainian Klitschko.
“Tyson’s mandatory now for the heavyweight world title,” Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy said.
“Wladimir Klitschko’s being allowed one more fight in March or April, then it’ll be purse bids, then the fight’s on. It’ll be June to September. The big fight is on, and Klitschko has to just take it and not swerve it.”
Chisora, 30, who was defending the European title, was unable to avenge his 2011 loss to Fury despite coming into the fight on the back of a five-fight winning streak.
Fury, who had only fought two bouts in the last two years, switched to southpaw in round two and controlled every round.
The fight in front of a sold-out 18,700 at London’s ExCel Arena drifted through the halfway stage with neither committing themselves to strong hits and the crowd responded with jeers at the end of rounds six and seven.
Fury peppered his opponent with jabs and undercuts but without any decisive blows, although blood streamed from Chisora’s nose, eye and mouth moving into round 10. Chisora was kept back on his stool by his corner before the start of round 11 to drop his record to five defeats in 25 professional fights.
Klitschko has not been beaten for 10 years and has made 17 defences during his second reign as world champion.
