FLOYD Mayweather Jr. suffered a rib injury during training and will be unable to fight Juan Manuel Marquez next month, the fighter said on Sunday. The eagerly awaited fight had been due to take place on July 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. "I am extremely disappointed that this fight has to be postponed," Mayweather said. "I was training very hard and looking forward to getting back in the ring on July 18." The 32-year-old Mayweather (39-0, 25 knockouts) has not fought since December 8, 2007 when he knocked out Briton Ricky Hatton in the 10th round in Las Vegas to retain his WBC welterweight title.
