Fast-rising Afghanistan upset Bangladesh by 32 runs to win their Asia Cup match in Fatullah, Bangladesh, yesterday. Afghanistan scored an impressive 254-6 in its allotted 50 overs with Asghar Stanikzai scoring a career-best unbeaten 90 and Samiullah Shinwari making 81. Bangladesh never looked settled in its hunt for the target and was finally bowled out for 222 in 47.5 overs. Mominul Haq top-scored for the host with 50 while Naeemul Islam made 35.
