Anderson cracks rib ahead of Ashes
THE England and Wales Cricket Board said seamer James Anderson cracked a rib at its pre-Ashes training camp in Germany but expects him to be fit for the first test against Australia next month.
Anderson struggled during the 0-5 loss in the last away Ashes series four years ago, but has emerged as the leader of England's attack since then and will be relied on when the series begins on November 25. The ECB said that "it is anticipated that he will be fit and available for selection for the first test against Australia in Brisbane."
