Bangladesh stunner
SHAKIB al-Hasan claimed four wickets and hit a quick-fire 58 to help Bangladesh win the opening match of the five-game limited-overs series by nine runs against New Zealand in Dhaka yesterday. New Zealand needed 210 in 37 overs on the Duckworth/Lewis method after rain suspended play after 15 overs when New Zealand was 85-4 in reply to Bangladesh's 228. But the visitors faltered at 200 for eight, despite Brendon McCullum's aggressive 61 off 45 balls, which included seven fours and two sixes.
