Collingwood named Twenty20 captain

PAUL Collingwood was named England captain for a second time yesterday and will lead the side in next month's Twenty20 World Cup.

The 32-year-old batsman quit the one-day captaincy role last August, citing concerns that it was affecting his form. "This is a different thing, it's a short three-week period," national selector Geoff Miller said. "He's quite happy with the situation." Andrew Flintoff was also picked in the 15-player squad despite undergoing surgery on his right knee earlier this week after returning from a stint in the Indian Premier League.
