Finch, Warner star
OPENERS Aaron Finch and David Warner produced well-paced knocks as Australia finally won at the World Twenty20 at the expense of host Bangladesh with an easy seven-wicket win yesterday.
Bangladesh notched 153-5 and it was too little, as Australia cruised to 158-3 in 17.3 overs. Finch top-scored with 71 off 45 balls and Warner made 48 off 35.
On Monday, Rangana Herath led Sri Lanka into the semifinals, claiming five wickets in a 59-run victory over New Zealand. New Zealand was bowled out for its lowest T20 total of 60 in 15.3 overs after Sri Lanka was all out for 119 in 19.2 overs. Kane Williamson was the only Kiwi to reach double digits, scoring 42.
