Hussain's 'donkey' comment sparks row
THE India cricket board has objected to former England captain Nasser Hussain's comments during this week's Twenty20 game at Old Trafford when he referred to some India fielders as "donkeys."
"I would say the difference between the two sides is the fielding. England are an allround good fielding side. I do believe that India have a few very good fielders and one or two donkeys in the field," Hussain said when India's Parthiv Patel muffed catching out England's Kevin Pietersen. In 2008, the BCCI backed offspinner Harbhajan Singh after he allegedly called Australia allrounder Andrew Symonds a "monkey".
